New local initiative: Building inclusive communities in Stavanger

New local initiative building inclusive communities in Stavanger

At Youth of the Future (YOTF), we believe that every young person deserves to feel seen, safe, and supported — regardless of background, culture, or faith. That’s why we’re proud to launch a powerful new initiative in Stavanger aimed at bringing youth together, breaking down barriers, and building real friendships through action, dialogue, and shared experiences.

Why this matters

Discrimination, racism, and exclusion still affect far too many people in our communities. We believe that change starts locally — by creating inclusive spaces where youth can connect across differences, learn from one another, and grow as individuals and as a society.

What we’re doing

Throughout 2026, we’ll be organizing a series of community-based activities and gatherings to build stronger bonds and promote inclusion across Stavanger. These include:

  • Local meetups and social events focused on inclusion and belonging
  • Sports, outdoor adventures, and cultural activities that unite youth
  • Workshops and conversation spaces about diversity, identity, and respect
  • Opportunities for young people to get involved in volunteering and contribute to their community

Who it’s for

This initiative is for everyone — especially youth from multicultural backgrounds, refugees, and those looking for a positive, welcoming space. We also encourage local Norwegian youth to join and help shape a more inclusive future together.
