YOTF – Youth of the Future is deeply saddened by reports that at least 35 children are among those killed in last night’s renewed airstrikes in Gaza.
After weeks of cautious hope and humanitarian rebuilding, families and children are again being plunged into terror and unimaginable loss. The scale and recurrence of violence are devastating.
“This is exactly why our work exists,” said Tom Danny Pedersen, CEO of YOTF.
“Children should never be caught in the middle of war, yet time and again we witness the youngest pay the highest price. A ceasefire must mean protection — not more suffering. It must be respected, upheld, and enforced.”
YOTF continues to support children and families displaced or harmed by conflict — including through urgent aid efforts in Gaza. Our mission is to restore dignity, hope, and safety for those most vulnerable. This moment painfully reminds us just how critical that mission is.
As winter approaches, thousands of children in conflict zones like Gaza and Ukraine face both violence and harsh conditions. Our teams are working to build up the campaigns within YOTF, to be able to participate with the help that’s needed in this area.
We call on the international community, leaders, and partners to uphold human rights and protect the lives of children. Silence and inaction are not options!
Help us act. Help us reach them. Because no child should live or die in fear.
